Filing a Resolution
Every resolution offered for the consideration of this Association shall be in writing and in consice form. Each resolution presented to this Association shall be referred by the President, without debate, to the Resolutions Committee for hearing and consideration after which it will be presented to the membership at the next annual meeting.
Filing an Amendment
The MPCA Constitution may be amended by affirmative vote of a simple majority of members present and eligible to vote at the business meeting of any annual or special meeting of this Association provided that the proposed amendment, which may be filed by one or more members of this Association with the Executive Director, shall have been submitted in writing at least sixty days before the meeting at which it is to be offered. The Executive Director shall reproduce the amendment and notify the membership of this Association thereof either by mail or publication at least thirty days before such meeting. The Board of Directors before the business meeting of the annual meeting shall study and consider the proposed amendment and shall report its recommendations thereon to this Association before the membership shall vote upon it. In those cases deemed necessary by the Board of Directors, and where a membership meeting is not apparent in the near future, the Executive Director shall poll the membership by mail on amendments to the Constitution.
