Police Products & Services Clearinghouse

As a member benefit, the MPCA has created the Police Products & Services Clearinghouse program to assist association members in obtaining information about police products and services from other members or law enforcement agencies.

NOTE:
It is the policy of the Association not to endorse products or services without prior approval of the Board of Directors. The Clearinghouse will not provide information as to the functionality, reliability or suitability of any product or service provider. The Clearinghouse will provide a process to assist a member who seeks to ascertain or share information about a product or service provider with other members.

How to Make an Inquiry

An Association member in good standing who seeks information concerning a product or service may contact the Association office and request that an inquiry be sent to the entire membership. The office will disseminate the inquiry in several ways, including broadcast fax, newsletter, and other media.

Before the inquiry can be sent, the member will need to document the request by filling out a simple questionaire. You may request a form by contacting the MPCA office at (573) 636-5444 or by emailing slineback@mopca.com.

When the questionaire has been completed it will be disseminated to the membership. Your name and contact telephone number will be included and all replies will be directed to your attention.

Action After an Inquiry

A record of all inquiries will be kept at the MPCA office for three years. When the Association staff receives a new inquiry they will provide the person making the inquiry with the contact names of parties making earlier inquiries about the same product or service provider.

When a significant number of members are experiencing similar defects with a police product or difficulties with receiving reasonable service from a provider the following steps should be taken:

Action by the SACOP or the MPCA Board of Directors will be communicated to the membership through newsletters, broadcast fax, and this website.
