NEW PROGRAM ALERT FOR MPCA MEMBERS
The Missouri Police Chiefs’ Association has been working with Zylstra Harley Davidson of Ames, Iowa to make $1.00 a year lease for new police motorcycles. You will need to pick the bike or bikes up, provide insurance on the bikes, purchase your own light and siren package, and pay service cost each year depending on the miles put on the bike.
To assist in the servicing of the bikes, we are arranging dates to have bike leased under this project serviced at the MPCA. In addition, to make this service day an MPCA Rally Day.
HOW TO GET A MOTOR CYCLE UNDER THIS PROGRAM?
weber@zylstracycles.com.Please use this as a strict guideline as to how your letter to us at Zylstra Harley Davidson should look. You need to write you letter to us exactly like this if you want to receive a motorcycle. Of course you need to tailor this letter to your own specifications.
The _______ (Police or Sheriff) Department would like to request the $1.00 lease of ____ new 2001 Harley-Davidson FXDP Dyna Defender Motorcycles. We would like them to be (black or white) in color. We would like ____# unit (s). We would like the full light system (or 3 point strobe system, or basic light system) installed on the motorcycle(s). Our federal tax ID number is ________________. This motorcycle will be used as an on duty traffic control and enforcement motorcycle. We are also enclosing a completed Harley-Davidson Police Motorcycle Request Form. We will also give Zylstra Harley-Davidson a copy of the proof of insurance on the motorcycle the day we pick the motorcycle up. We are enclosing a copy of our purchase order for the motorcycle and equipment.
