| Non Law Enforcement Use of MULES by Law Enforcement | |||
| For
several years the has existed an restriction upon law enforcement agencies
to use MULES for employment checks and other checks that were not for law
enforcement purposes.
Recently, Chief Lynn Rowe and Sheldon Lineback met with representatives of the Missouri Highway Patrol, and the Department

of
Public Safety regarding this issue.
The meeting proved to be very informational and productive. The result of the meeting will be a letter sent to all Missouri law enforcement agencies depicting guidelines to allow local law enforcement agencies to conduct MULES checks for non-law enforcement purposes.
